(6,10,16,27) Magneto-structural studies on homodinuclear complexes other than copper(II), where the metal ions are bridged by two (M = Ni and Co)/three (M = Mn) substituted pydz ligands, has revealed the occurrence of antiferromagnetic interactions up to −33.6, (11,28) −11.5, (11,20) and −2.44 cm –1. (5,26) This magnetic coupling for the copper(II) complexes is much enhanced in the case of double-bridged pydz or substituted pydz ligands ( J values up to −532 cm –1).
